Bridgerton Styled Masonry Stone

Who else has been watching the beautiful award winning Netflix series Bridgeton? Not only enjoying this wonderful period drama with its amazing costumes, but delighting in the stunning architecture adorning these great homes in 1813.

The wide magnanimous steps beneath the noble doorways and entrances. Made from real stone, most likely, Pennant Sandstone and built in the Georgian and Regency- era those buildings captivate the history of Cheltenham, Bath, London and various English estates – to evoke the grandeur of those times. Those sweeping staircases colonnades and elegant facades were made, most likely, from Pennant Sandstone. Used for its durability, fine grain and deep colours, looking as majestic then as it does now.

The ‘Ton’ were immensely proud of their homes, and the entrances, lavishing and adorning the fronts of the properties with fire baskets and flowers to ‘out do’ or ‘keep up’ with their society. Thankfully the history remains, and then there is always Birch Hill to create that dream for our generation of home owners.
